Twice a year the sun gets into a certain position in the sky, and day and night are of virtually equal length. So…September equinox is upon us all. Is it going to shift to more day, or more night, when it comes to your life, YOU determine if its sunrise or sunset.
We are also coming to the beginning of the final quarter of 2011. Reflecting on your year. And then…Holidays. Thanksgiving. Winter Holidays (Christmas, etc) Research shows that the holidays can be especially rough if you are single and don’t want to be, for yet another year…are having to listen to friends and family ask about your love life…once again, and then your loneliness really sets in, your self doubts grow, as another year slipped by. Now it’s possible that that may not be your experience, but, yeah, lets be real here. I remember those days.
As you know, Lara and I are always supporting you looking at YOU. What are you creating for yourself? What are you REALLY stepping into? Dating tips and tricks are a dime a dozen and you can find that someplace else, this is about empowerment, pure and simple.
As you roll into the final quarter of 2011, there’s still time left to make this year amazing and life-changing. Are you seizing that opportunity? Or sitting around talking about “where did the year go?” Jim Rohn said it best: “You can’t change your destiny overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.”
I remember one time around our house wanting to get out to go someplace on a Saturday morning and I was getting distracted, lolly-gagging, fooling around, just pretty aimless in my morning. I said I wanted to go to that place, but I just 
wasn’t focused. At one point, I realized I was way late if we were going to get there. All shocked and amazed I said “Oh, where did the time go?!” And Isabelle, in her infinite wisdom (she was around 6 years old) said “well you know daddy, time goes by.” And there we go. Time goes by.
So…the Equinox is here. Is it sunRISE in your life, or sunSET? There is no in-between. Only twice a year is the day and night the same, but time goes by…so which direction are you going, for real?

Just as the equinox offers equal parts day and night – my chosen direction has been equal parts receiving and sharing love. I feel blessed and am grateful for finding that balance. I will continue in my chosen, focused and positive direction to find the love of my life.
